So Far (Where Hawks Wear Crows)
we are all such red tailed
things. you saw two hawks.
i saw one.
there is a
triangle
past the clouds
where
they they make
seeds. can’t you see that?
they
tumble down
so
we writes on
coals
not golds. did you
see that shado? gosh, crows grow big
when they get to.
on those hills-
have you smelled them?!
when black stalks on
the hills are touched with snow,
they burn into
matchsticks
fallen down and
have their own clouds,
their own
idahos. where hawks wear
crows when they
float 40 miles away: clouds
not mine, pine trees
stop, so far
i got one hawk you got two
though
they fly so close by the road.
